Far From Ordinary

Merari Arrendondo earned an Associate’s degree in the Mexican American Studies Program at South Texas College in May 2011 and is continuing her education at UTPA for a bachelor’s degree. The history she learned at STC is essential when dealing with undocumented individuals for her internship at LUPE, La Unión del Pueblo Entero.

Leslie Aldana is only the second female to be graduating from the Fire Science Academy at South Texas College. She proves that women are just as strong as men in male dominated field.

The new West Academic Building, or Building “T”, features new technology, commons area, and study areas at STC. Ribbon cutting will take place in May 2012.
